Teri Kurasch, Managing Director.  Teri has over twenty years of corporate legal experience serving as VP and Associate General Counsel for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago specializing in bank regulation, complex technology contracting, employment law, and litigation matters before the federal courts.  Teri twice received the prestigious President’s Award for Excellence and was the youngest female Vice President.  She has lectured and co-authored publications for the Bank on bank holding companies and bank supervisory matters.   She left the Federal Reserve Bank for private practice where she provided legal expertise to corporate clients in computer and software licensing, mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing, and contract management in the telecommunications, financial, and service industries for corporate clients in the US and UK.

Teri holds a BS degree with distinction in psychology from the University of Illinois where she was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor sorority, a James Scholar, the LAS student representative to the University Governing Body, and a participant in the select Psychology Honors program.  She earned her JD with high honors from Chicago Kent College of Law where she won numerous academic awards including the West Hornbook Award for highest overall performance in the first year and the American Jurisprudence Award for highest performance in Contracts.  Graduating in the upper 5% of her class, she earned academic scholarships in addition to being a competitor on the Moot Court team.   Teri earned her MBA with a concentration in labor relations from the University of Chicago.  Teri is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Chicago Bar Association and the University of Chicago’s Women in Business Group.

Sheila K. Hathi, Managing Director. Sheila began her legal career with McGuire Woods, LLP first as a summer associate then as an Associate Attorney, where she specialized in transactional agreements for the healthcare industry, corporate formation and acquisitions, and performed due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Sheila has co-authored the pre-trial procedure and conferences sections of the “Federal Civil Trial Practice” handbook for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. In addition to her work at McGuire Woods, Sheila has provided legal consulting services for complex technology contracts for large corporate clients, handled numerous corporate formations, and negotiated corporate acquisitions and mergers.

Sheila earned her BS in Finance from the University of Illinois and worked as a finance consultant for Aetna US Healthcare and Ameritech Corporation where her focus was on monitoring financial risk and controlling costs. Sheila earned her JD degree from the University of Illinois where she chaired sections of the Asian American Law Society and Indian Student Society in addition to competing in the Frederick Green Moot Court and Regional Negotiations Competitions. Sheila is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association.

Donald Joseph, President of Northbrook Consulting Group LLC.  Donald L. Joseph is President of Northbrook Consulting Group. Don has been a Certified Management Consultant since 1985 and is former President of the Institute of Management Consultants-Greater Chicago and Co-Chairman of the Independent Consultants SIG, Harvard Business School Club of Chicago. Mr. Joseph has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.  Mr. Joseph's executive experience includes being the first non-physician Vice President of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Vice President of Meystel, Inc., and both Vice President, Operations and Vice President, Finance and Administration of Russell-Field Paper Company. He has also been on the faculty of the Elmhurst Management Program of Elmhurst College and is currently on the MBA faculty of University of Phoenix

Jonathan Kurasch, Partner in Lieberman and Kurasch.  Jonathan Kurasch has more than thirty years of active litigation experience.  He has appeared and argued many times before the state Supreme and Appellate courts, and first chaired bench and jury trials.  Jon’s extensive background includes every facet of litigation.  He has deposed and defended hundreds of clients and negotiated multi-million dollar structured settlements.  He has drafted and argued briefs and cases before both the state and federal courts, and arbitration panels.

Jon has appeared before numerous state and federal administrative agencies, represented several municipalities, and worked both as a state prosecutor and state hearing officer.  He has a BS from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, a JD from Washington University in St. Louis where he was a law review editor and an MBA from the University of Chicago.  He has taught LSAT, GMAT, and CPA preparation classes.  He has lectured for bar association groups and teaches business and law courses for MBA candidates for several universities.
